General questions

We’re Amaze. We’re a leading Australian autism advocacy organisation that’s been driving change since 1967, so Autistic people and their families can lead their best lives.

Although our home base is Victoria, our reach extends right across Australia. We focus on building understanding of autism and Autistic experience, influencing policy, and providing trustworthy information and resources to individuals, families, professionals, and the wider community.

We also deliver training and advisory services to organisations, helping them become more inclusive places for Autistic and otherwise neurodivergent people as standard practice.

A-Plus Connect is a new initiative from Amaze, created as part of the wider A-Plus Neuorinclusion Program.

A-Plus Connect provides Autistic jobseekers with clear, detailed information from employers who are genuinely committed to neuroinclusion, so you’ll know what to expect and what support is available before you apply for work with them.

Our vision is for A-Plus Connect to become a one-stop-shop for neurodivergent jobseekers to find the resources and guidance to pursue work that’s not just inclusive and safe, but truly meaningful for you.

For job seekers

You can explore an A-Plus employer’s neuroinclusion efforts by visiting their profile page through the A-Plus Employer Directory.

On their profile page, A-Plus employers are invited to:

  • Describe their current and in-progress neuroinclusion initiatives
  • Share updates and information about their progress towards greater inclusion

Employers are encouraged to update their profiles regularly so you can stay informed about the steps they are taking.

If an A-Plus employer feels like the right fit for you, we encourage you to visit their careers page or portal to view their current job listings. A link to their website will be provided on the profile page.

No – it’s completely your choice whether you share any part of your personal identity with an A-Plus employer.

You are not legally required to disclose personal information unless you are requesting specific workplace adjustments. Even then, you only need to share the information that relates directly to the support you are requesting – not a diagnosis or full medical history.

If you would like more information about disclosure and your rights in Australia, you can visit:

For organisations

A-Plus Connect is an online platform that helps neurodivergent jobseekers connect with organisations who are committed to neuroinclusion.

It features a public directory of A-Plus Employers: organisations that have taken real steps to build more inclusive and supportive workplaces for Autistic and neurodivergent people.

Being listed on A-Plus Connect means you’re not just saying the right things – you have started working on your organisation’s neuroinclusion practices, and you’re open about your progress.

To be listed as an A-Plus Employer on A-Plus Connect, your organisation needs to meet the below criteria.

Your organisation must have:

  • Worked with Amaze to build its capacity in neuroinclusion (e.g. through the A-Plus Program or equivalent work).
  • Show a commitment to ongoing improvement in neuroinclusion, for example by sharing real examples of how it’s putting inclusive practices into action.
  • Agree to have a public profile on A-Plus Connect that reflects your current progress and future goals.

At this stage, all organisations listed on A-Plus Connect must have worked directly with Amaze to build their capacity in neuroinclusion.

While the A-Plus Program is one pathway to build capacity and capability, we also partner with organisations for tailored consulting, training and professional development, inclusion assessments and custom projects.

If you want to know more about these services, please contact us at [email protected].

Being listed on A-Plus Connect makes it clear to Autistic jobseekers that your organisation isn’t just talking about neuroinclusion – it’s also actively putting inclusive practices into action.

It also helps organisations to:

  • Reach Autistic jobseekers who are actively looking for inclusive, supportive workplaces, helping to widen the talent pool.
  • Demonstrate values and commitment to neuroinclusion in a clear and credible way.
  • Build trust with Autistic and neurodivergent jobseekers.
  • Be recognised as a leader in neuroinclusion within their industries.
  • Share progress and join a growing movement for real, lasting workplace change.

Yes! We work with organisations at all stages of their inclusion journey.

You don’t need to have “perfected” your approach to neuroinclusion to join A-Plus Connect. You just need to demonstrate a genuine commitment to learning and improving.
